Levi's Golf Wang-Inspired Anniversary
A noteworthy milestone of this year’s 501 Day has been the collaboration with Golf Wang, Tyler the Creator's fashion label.
Having been in business for an astonishing 147 years, Levi’s Jeans celebrates each anniversary with their 501 Day, in homage of their signature 501 jeans. Each May, Levi’s hosts worldwide events and campaigns commemorating their legacy as the leading brand of jeans for over a century. A noteworthy milestone of this year’s 501 Day has been the collaboration with Golf Wang, Tyler the Creator's fashion label.
Levi's and Golf Wang are two brands that complement each other well due to their respective mission statements. Levi’s 501 jeans embody self-expression and individuality, as their simplistic build makes them adaptable to customizations and redesign. Meanwhile, Golf Wang is a brand rooted in whimsicality, consisting of brightly colored hats, sports jerseys, and duffel bags emblazoned with random images such as chicken and waffles. Defying the hip hop fashion convention of glorifying luxury items, Tyler opts to imbue with his products with dark, absurdist humor.
Together, Levi’s and Golf Wang have previewed a more vibrant iteration of the classic 501 jeans, one spangled with multi-colored polka dots as Golf Wang’s heart-and-flower logo adorns the back pocket. These rainbow jeans are truly a vivid, fantastical creation, and they are available for purchase on both of Levi’s and Gold Wang’s websites on now.

2021 will be a wild ride for fashion lovers and style enthusiasts everywhere. With us still being in the middle of a pandemic and changes are happening with the way consumers shop, it will definitely give way to how differently people dress and style themselves. Here are a few trend predictions that may give way in 2021.
Fashion lovers and style enthusiasts rejoice. The Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2021 is here and not only did they announce one color but two! The two colors selected will be Ultimate Gray (PANTONE 17-5104) and Illuminating (PANTONE 13-0647) as the shades for Pantone's Color of the Year 2021. According to Teen Vogue, the last time Pantone announced two colors for color of the year was back in 2016.

The effects of a nationwide quarantine have devastated the fashion label Cushnie to the point at which its closure was made official in late October. In these months of solitude, the bored masses have switched on to Netflix to help them escape the mundane feeling of the lockdown. This constant tuning in is no new feeling to teenagers, whose viewership has created an entirely new genre of melodramatic “teen” shows and movies. As a fashion zealot, I tend to fixate on styling within any form of media - I get excited by fresh perspectives in fashion. Especially when it is portrayed through a young character’s style. Sadly,

QUAY X LIZZO FOR GOOD
You're going to need a pair of sunnies to shade your eyes from the shine of Quay's new collection.
You're going to need a pair of sunnies to shade your eyes from the shine of Quay's new collection. The Australian sunglass company just dropped a new line in collaboration with, the only and only, Lizzo. With a spark and originality that only the artist herself could embody, the new shades will be the vibrant addition to your summer wardrobe that you’ve been craving.
The singer, songwriter and performer took the world by storm with her fun, empowering, resilient music and energy, and these qualities become tangible as they are integrated into the new designs. Featuring colorful yet sophisticated styles, the collection has superstar written all over it.
The Lizzo inspired line includes a variety of silhouettes such as aviators and cat eye, as well as sunglasses with metal brow bars and studded embellishments like mini stars and rhinestones. Some of the shades are also offered in a translucent rainbow finish. No matter what style you choose, every pair will help you shine a little bit brighter before you ever even hit the sun.
Probably the most significant reason why this new collection outshines that of its predecessors is the fact that proceeds from every purchase will be used towards donating meals all across the United States. In addition to teaming up with Lizzo, the Quay company has also partnered with Feeding America during this time of uncertainty. Each individual purchase is the equivalent of 100 meals that are distributed by local food banks.
Besides the obvious charm and enthusiasm of the new collection, the ability to contribute meaningful meals and provide a sense of security to fellow Americans is what makes this line one of our favorites of the season. You will undoubtedly add a spark to your style when wearing these fun and eccentric shades while simultaneously making a difference in the lives of people who need it most.

Rihanna’s lingerie line, Savage X Fenty, has announced Megan Thee Stallion as their 2020 brand partner. The collaboration deemed #SavageXTheestallion, is part of the brand’s community-led summer campaign where brand partners, ambassadors and influencers take photos from inside their homes. The brand is teaming with mixed media artist Rafatoon to put together the campaigns.
The “Savage” and “Hot Girl” singer was given this opportunity with Savage X Fenty after she helped launch TikTok’s account in April with the #SavageChallenge. When interviewed about the collaboration, Rihanna said “Meg is the energy we were looking for. She is a risk-taker with an attitude, character and personality.”
In the first campaign shots, Megan is seen wearing a yellow lace bra, paired with a matching thong. Another shot shows Megan on top of a leather chair featuring the same lingerie that she wore from the original #SavageChallenge video.
The collaboration will feature fits of all available sizes, from 32A-42H and XS on www.savageX.com, Amazon.com, ASOS.com and Zalando.com and is nothing short of classy, bougie and ratchet.

Big Pore, Little Pore, then Unclog Pores!
Have you been struggling with acne since your teenage years and it has only gotten worse over the years interfering into adulthood?
Have you been struggling with acne since your teenage years and it has only gotten worse over the years interfering into adulthood? Well just to let you know you are not alone. I been struggling with acne since middle school and it has only gotten worst over the years until I decided to go to the dermatologist. The dermatologist helped me out with getting me the right treatment which was a topical acne cream for my face. I recently been trying to figure out a safe way to unclog my pores by not causing a breakout. Pores are little openings in the skin that discharge sweat and oils. Pores can be really painful and disgusting. Just note that you can never get rid of pores but there are ways to diminish them. I would still go talk to a dermatologist, but this should get you started. If you want clean and unclog pores just check out this product! “Owned by Kao Corporation based in Tokyo, Japan. It’s a chemical and cosmetics company. It was founded by Tomiro Nagase”.He needed to make moderate healthy skin items which he did that by purchasing Biore in the earlies 1880s. Biore Blue Agave Deep Cleansing Pore Strips is the newest and latest skincare product from Biore. This product is guaranteed to remove undesirable pores from your nose in a safe way.
Lastly, always wash your hands first before touching your face. Remember I am no expert, but you can never get rid of pores, but finding a way to diminish them is a great way to start.

Selena Gomez's Makeup Brand is Hiring A 'Director of Social Impact' for Rare Beauty
Selena Gomez's makeup brand is hiring a 'director of social impact' for Rare Beauty
Selena Gomez's makeup brand Rare Beauty is looking to hire a director of social impact. The position is about celebrating uniqueness on the company's social media and encouraging everyone to love themselves as they are.
Gomez has been candid and open about her own mental health struggles in the past. Rare Beauty's CEO Scott Friedman said, "When we first began discussing this project, she immediately focused on the ways she could use this brand to help people who are struggling.”
Friedman said the new position will help shape conversations around many of Gomez' aspirations and passions: beauty, self-acceptance, and mental health. He said, "The director of social impact will help us go beyond words and really take action to support mental health awareness. We can only do this if a leader is solely focused on this responsibility. This position is a vital part of holding our brand accountable, both internally and externally." Gomez said, "We had always planned on having someone lead this mission, but we felt that it was imperative to hire the best person for the job now.” More people than ever are discussing how their mental health is being affected during the coronavirus pandemic.
Friedman added there's still a stigma around mental health, which the company want to help tackle. He said, "Many people are hesitant to openly talk about their struggles because it's seen as a weakness or flaw. In the beauty industry specifically, there's an expectation to look a certain way all the time and to alter your appearance in order to mirror celebrities, models, or influencers." The goal is for people to see their differences not as flaws, but rather as what makes people unique, special, and rare.
Gomez will be very involved in the hiring process. He said, "She has always placed the social purpose of this brand at the same level of priority as the products we are developing, so our new director of social impact will work closely with her to help bring these goals to life. As we gear up for our product launch later this year, I look forward to seeing the team rally around and execute on Selena's creativity and vision," he said. “It’s hard not to be inspired by her passion for helping others and we’ll continue to weave that into the DNA of Rare Beauty.”

KylieSkin’s Newest Launch: Baby Pink Slides
It’s official, the KarJenners are at it again, but this time in foot wear.
It’s official, the KarJenners are at it again, but this time in foot wear. Kylie Jenner has just recently announced her newest launch, KylieSkin x APL slides.
Who is APL? Athletic Propulsion Labs (APL), have been a long time fan of the KarJenners as they have sported their sneakers for years. Their sneakers are practical for the gym with their light weight and serious comfort, I should know, I own a pair or two! Not a fan of the gym, but still want to look like you flawlessly worked out? Well, you’re in luck because their style can’t be beat. The clean modern look they showcase with their on trend color schemes allow you to look your best, but also be that athletic self you want to show off. ;)
So, what do these slides have that make them worth buying? First off, slides are a major trend this year, so if you buy them you’re already winning. But, the legendary blush pink that KylieSkin promotes could very well be their main attraction, and not to mention, they also have the comfort and style that APL is known for. Their strap is soft and flexible, and they even have “antimicrobial mesh footbeds” which literally massage your feet while you’re going for a stroll. Maximum comfort much? There definitely doesn’t seem to be a downside to these cute, yet casual baby pink slides.
They retail at $100, I know a bit expensive, but why not splurge for self care? You can find these babies on KylieSkin’s website: KylieSkin . Go ahead…click the link, I know you want them!

How to Look Like a "G" in the "Q"
By dressing up cozy clothes, you can look like a "G" in the "Q"
Having the motivation to get ready in the midst of the nation-wide quarantine has proven to be a struggle for many. Without going to the office or leaving the house more than once to go to the grocery store would defeat anyone’s drive to glam up. But, who says you can’t look like you spent two hours getting ready to still look comfortable and cute at the same time? You can spice up any look with simple accessories and the right outfit coordination.
Stores like Boohoo and Princess Polly offer a numerous selection in comfort and loungewear for affordable prices to their customers. For instance, with this Bardot Sweat Crop Top and Jogger Set in the color “Grey Marl” paired with some gold accessories and white sneakers, your once “lazy” look has been transformed into a trendy new take on a normally simple outfit choice. Milk Makeup Debuts Triple-Tipped Brow Pen
Milk Makeup Debuts Triple-Tipped Brow Pen
Ah, the fluffy, off-duty-model brow. What’s not to say about them? How we all long for that luscious, brushed-up look à la pretty much every runway for the past couple seasons. A chic and modern departure from the pomade-heavy Instagram brow, simply just brush up your brow hairs for this j’en sais quoi, effortless beauty moment. Well, maybe it’s not quite effortless, and maybe not that simple. Those blessed with naturally thick brows, this is your time to rejoice. Pop some champagne, why don’t you! But for those of us with sparser (but equally valid!) brows, we need to harness the power of makeup to fake ‘em out.
On April 18th, 4:20 EST, cool-girl brand Milk Makeup debuted the newest addition to their Kush line: the triple brow pen. Available in six colors, this pen features an angled, triple-tipped felt applicator that deposits sheer, buildable pigment, allowing the user to easily mimic hair strokes. This long-wearing, water-resistant formula also contains plant-derived oil, sunflower oil, and aloe to condition your brows throughout the day. Additionally, this product is vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, silicone-free, alcohol-free, and fragrance-free.
The Kush Brow Pen retails online for $22 USD, and can be purchased at milkmakeup.com. Whether you brush it lightly through your hairs for a feathery, woke-up-like-this brow, or fill them in for a bolder look, this product can do it all.

Fenty's So Fetch
This outfit continues to prove that Rihanna’s style is both edgy and chic.
In London on February second, the star Rihanna was caught rocking her new high end Fentys pumps. The name of the party was called “British Vogue and Tiffany & Co Celebrate Fashion and FIlm. The party took place at Annabel’s after the BAFTA awards. Rihanna arrived at 3:30 am which was seemingly fashionably late to the event in a pair of big crystal earrings by Alessandra Rich, a Shay black diamond heart ring, a dark Fenty ensemble, and black Fenty pumps.
At her entrance, the party grew longer in the famous stars honor. The outfit that she wore, as seen in the pictures was an oversized black jersey hoodie, high waisted extra long palazzo pants in Jet Black satin, a Dior satin saddle bag, and on her feet was a pair of Fenty’s pointed black pumps in black. This outfit proved that Rihanna’s style is both edgy and chic. The outfit itself cost more then 1,000 dollars which is a bit on the expensive side for some. Although the outfit is somewhat pricey it is gorgeous nonetheless. This shows that Rih has an interesting style that is high in demand. The fashionista always makes a grand imprint within the fashion industry which is loved by many. Every young trendy woman should have a hot all black look, so shop Fenty for yours!

Salute, a Hong-Kong based brand, just recently dropped their spring/summer collection on April 18th.
Now that summer is just around the corner, Salute, a Hong-Kong based brand, just recently dropped their spring/summer collection on April 18th. A$AP Rocky and many other fashion lovers are seen showing Salute’s unique jewelry off. Salute’s sense of individuality is high and they know how to create a line that's different from others, this is what draws my eyes in.
This jewelry collection is also pretty budget-friendly, coming in at about $50 for the bracelet and $70 for the necklace. Building on its traditional theme, the bracelet and necklace are primarily based on the expression “Flower Anarchy”. The name resonates with the design of the jewelry perfectly, while creating a name to draw customers like me in.
The accessories include eye-catching charms and pearls accompanied by silver accents. The charms are the best part, they include daisies, rainbow flowers with peace signs, smiley face daisies, and pearls. The necklace is split up by small beads and long silver rods. Each charm is uniquely arranged and appealing to the eye, the different sizes of the pearls give the necklace and bracelet a more detailed and complex look. I love a brand that creates a style of their own, one that doesn’t copy trends, but one that makes trends. That’s why Salute is a good place to spend your money whether it be on clothing or jewelry. Either way, you're paying a good price for what your'e receiving!

The Beauty Industry After CoVID-19
Despite the growing convenience of online shopping, consumers still prefer to try before they buy when it comes to their makeup. Yet, retail beauty is on an indefinite hiatus, with stores like Sephora and Ulta closed for the shelter-in-place period.
There’s no amount of internet research on undertones, swatches, or ingredients that can compare to just trying a foundation on your face. The same can be said for serums, or eyeliner, or lipstick; there’s just an unmatched security in test-driving a product before you buy it. You can see for yourself whether the shade suits you, how it wears throughout the day, and how it reacts with your skin, all before committing to the purchase! This is one of the greatest allures of brick-and-mortar cosmetics.
For the average makeup consumer, places like Sephora are the easiest way to try a multitude of products at once. In fact, e-commerce contributes to 15% of all US retail in 2008 but only accounts for 5% in the health and beauty sector. Despite the growing convenience of online shopping, consumers still prefer to try before they buy when it comes to their makeup. Yet, retail beauty is on an indefinite hiatus, with stores like Sephora and Ulta closed for the shelter-in-place period. Launches have been delayed, with data showing that customers are simply not interested in new products right now. Brands with e-commerce infrastructures have quickly announced sales and free shipping, and social media has become even more pivotal to marketing makeup. As non-essential businesses reopen, the hygiene concerns of beauty retail mean that the industry may recover much slower than other retail sectors.
CoVID-19 will catalyze a rapid shift to digital services and technology in the beauty industry. Currently, the industry is rapidly adapting to remote work, with service providers like hair stylists and makeup artists offering online classes and consultations in lieu of direct contact. Artificial intelligence and augmented reality will also continue to play a huge role. Sephora’s Virtual Artist is an app feature that leverages AI and AR to allow shoppers to try on products with surprising accuracy from the comfort of their home. Combined with other features that help you through your skin type or style, Sephora has done a phenomenal job of approximating their retail experience online and sets an example for how the rest of beauty retail will adapt. Although these virtual services aren’t quite the same as hitting up your local Sephora, it can come pretty close.

Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty Foundation Will Launch With 48 Shades
Selena’s beauty brand will offer 48 different shades of foundation and concealer.
Back in February 2020, Selena Gomez announced her beauty brand, Rare Beauty. In an interview for Interview Magazine, Gomez spilled the details on what fans can expect from the beauty brand.
Gomez told Amy Schumer that that in its initial launch, the beauty brand will offer 48 different shades of foundation and concealer. She promises it will be “very clean and easy”. She wanted to launch a makeup with so many shades, because she wanted people to feel safe.
She said, “I wanted to start a conversation about how can you make yourself feel great," she continued. "It’s not necessarily about needing these things to make yourself feel beautiful. People of my generation have all this pressure to look a certain way, and I wanted to make a line that took away a bit of that pressure.”
Gomez wants to make sure that their campaigns casts “real people” to promote Rare Beauty products. In a statement, the brand said, “Rare Beauty celebrates individualism and highlights what makes each of us unique. At the rise of Covid-19 many of us first questioned the timeline of fashion week and would we see the regular calendar continue - the question weighed over many of us for months! It was refreshing to see design houses and designers across the globe take advantage of the uncertainty and plow into production mode - thus my interest in Jerri Reid New York - The Black Designer based in Brooklyn New York wow’d instagram with his latest collection paying homage to the Black Is King film which debuted earlier this year in July. I was taken aback at quick of a turn round the young designer produced and released his well crafted designs reflecting some of the films most memorable moments.
Being a black gay creative for me feels liberating but at the same time there’s pressure. Pressure in needing to express yourself to a white society, that you are enough; what feels like having to explain my existence. having to explain why who I am and the art I produce is more than a hyper sexual view, but just what it is, art - expression, my expression.

KITH and Sailor Moon Team Up For New Collaboration
Over two decades later, Sailor Moon’s legacy is still felt throughout pop culture, a milestone that is commemorated by the clothing brand KITH.
Sailor Moon was one of the flagship anime in the 1990s that introduced an entire generation to the distinct art style and boundless creativity of Japanese animation. Over two decades later, Sailor Moon’s legacy is still felt throughout pop culture, a milestone that is commemorated by the clothing brand KITH.
KITH has officially collaborated with the Sailor Moon franchise itself in celebration of the television show’s 25th anniversary. The label’s latest products are hoodies and t-shirts depicting the eponymous superhero with the KITH logo. As a series that resonated most with young girls, Sailor Moon proved that femininity and strength are mutually inclusive, a sentiment best symbolized by the pink cropped hoodie with an image of the Sailor Scouts wearing KITH clothing emblazoned upon it.
Conversely, Sailor Moon’s character design, consisting of her colorful dress and signature blonde pigtails, is prime for graphic streetwear, creating a look that is casual and youthful, yet feminine. KITH’s new merchandise will undoubtably reignite older consumers’ nostalgia for their beloved childhood cartoon, all while subtly invoking the younger generation’s curiosity about the anime, eventually leading to another era of young girls becoming invested in the iconic heroine. Overall, KITH exemplifies the modern art of mainstreaming what was once a niche interest through the innovation of fashion trends.

After witnessing the backlash from Simone Biles Vogue cover I had to sit aside and ponder: Why is it so challenging for some photographers to capture the beauty of black skin/people? Our undertones, our glow, even the texture of our hair. So, like always I went looking for methods to best capture dark skin.

While I binged (and rebinged) these shows, I became increasingly interested in the patterns of dress. As a fashion zealot, I tend to fixate on styling within any form of media - I get excited by fresh perspectives in fashion. Especially when it is portrayed through a young character’s style. Sadly,

On the Road to Healthy Hair With Pantene
Our hair doesn't have to suffer because beauty salons are closed-- Pantene provides a product for all of us no matter what your hair type is.
Taking care of your hair could be difficult on a regular day, but during the COVID-19 crisis it only makes it that much harder to have healthy hair. Not many hair brands provide products for all types of hair. Pantene has numeral collections specifically made for your kind of hair. Even during these hard times Pantene is coming out with a product that can help a lot of people.
Colored Hair - Pantene announced that they are released a new collection, Sunlit Blondie. This helps people replenish blonde, platinum, highlights, and pastel hair. With hair salons closed being able to brighten your colored hair in your house is a major plus.
Fine Hair- The Foam Collection has weightless shampoo, conditioner and more that keeps hair from going flat. Heavier conditioners usually leave fine hair looking lifeless and over moisturized. That’s why the Foam Collection is perfect for fine hair, it leaves it looking light and clean.
Think, Coily, Curly Hair- The Gold Series Collections is for natural, relaxed, or transitioning hair. The Gold Series is heavy on moisture for those of us with thick hair. Keeps hair moisturized and smooth.
Damaged Hair- The Intense Rescue Shots Collection was made for those whose hair may be dry and brittle. This collection is all made of deep conditioners to turn your dry hair into soft and shiny.
No Harsh Chemicals- For those who are looking for hair care products with no harsh chemicals like sulfate, parabens, dyes, and mineral oil, The new Nutrient Blends Collection is for you. There are products in this collection for all kinds of hair, from fine to coily.
During this crisis we have to work with what’s available, which isn't much with beauty salons and beauty supply stores being closed. Supermarkets and select drug stores carry Pantene products that work for all of us no matter what type of hair you have all at moderate prices. When quarantining is no longer necessary and everyone is outside your hair won’t look like it skipped a beat. Products are also available for purchase online at Pantene.
