Lady Gaga's Sixth Studio Album, Chromatica Is Coming Soon!
Lady Gaga Announces New Album, Chromatica Will.
Lady Gaga’s anticipated upcoming new album finally has a release date and title. Her sixth studio album Chromatica is set to be released April 10 by Interscope Records. She has also launched a selection of new merchandise and an exclusive vinyl color at her website, ladygaga.com. Led by the dance bop "Stupid Love," the album will feature 16 tracks on the standard edition with two or three additional bonus tracks on the deluxe version. It will serve as the pop star’s first solo release since 2016's Joanne.
She discussed the record in an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s Beats 1. When she discussed the album’s concept with Zane Lowe, Gaga said, “The symbol for Chromatica has a sine wave in it, which is the mathematical symbol for sound, and it’s from what all sound is made from, and, for me, sound is what healed me in my life period, and it healed me again making this record, and that is really what Chromatica is all about. It’s about healing and it’s about bravery as well and it’s really like, when we talk about love I think it’s so important to include the fact that it requires a ton of bravery to love someone.”

Review: Gucci Fall 2020 RTW Collection Released at Milan Fashion Week
A review of the new Gucci Fall 2020 RTW Collection released at Milan Fashion Week.
Opening Milan Fashion Week, one of the most anticipated times during this month of back to back fashion shows, was Gucci. Only a few hours away from his hometown of Rome, Italy, Alessando Michele debuted the F/W 2020 collection and never fails to truly put on a show. Before showing off his myriad of frill pastel skirts, delicate puff sleeve tops, and pleated monochromatic pants, he displayed his models in a circular glass carousel just as they would step onto the runway.
Michele continues to keep his reputation of globally dominating the look of eccentric and extravagant presentations for Gucci. Focusing on layers in this show and being multidimensional, many looks consisted of high neck collars and some with ruffled details for the women. Snakeskin prints and plaid patterns were more prominent in the men’s outfits as they were placed in collared tops as well and flared pants. The 2020 pieces were not too far in detail compared to their F/W 2019 collection keeping some of the same The accessories were one of the protruding statements in the looks.
As the models walked one by one, there were handheld snake patterned purses, long cross chained necklaces, and some rhinestone drop earrings. Each look told a story and the accessories placed on top gave a ravishing dimension. There was little to almost no makeup presented and the facial expressions were neutral and serious as with almost everything that Michele has presented since he started at the Italian fashion house. Influencer, Ama Osei, speaks with Access PR to discuss her take on the beauty industry. During this time I was able to ask about her reasoning for choosing a path in the beauty community, advice she would give to others and her personal style. Read more from our chat below.
Can you explain your current role in the beauty industry?
“I am not genuinely sure if I actually have a “role” in the beauty industry... But, what I try my best to do, if applicable, I try to bring an item that’s black owned on set to support my brothers and sisters and share it amongst the team. Some people in the industry genuinely have never heard of certain dope designers, so I feel like it is my responsibility to share my opportunities with them even if they aren’t present on set. “
What made you want to choose this path?
“It was completely random. An associate of mine encouraged me to pursue it. She saw my potential and with that small seed she planted I prayed on it and God has made things beautiful in his time.”
What is your favorite thing about your current spot in your career?
“The glam! I am big on self care. Being on set, getting my makeup done, hair done, facial massage, taking photos ignites this fire in me and gives me that ultimate confirmation that this is where I am supposed to be.”
Can you tell me about your personal style?
“I would describe my personal style as sexy chic. No matter your age, I think it doesn’t hurt to be a little sexy and still maintain a sense of elegance.” #foreversexy
What have you learned throughout your growth in this industry?
“Being on set and interacting with people of all different backgrounds and visions teaches me how to adapt, how to communicate properly and learn how to improve my craft while picking up various skills from others while working. You can never know everything, and if you show people that you’re willing to learn, they will be even more willing to share.”
Do you ever feel pressure from social media? If, yes how do you overcome it?
“I used to feel pressure, but that was mainly because I was looking at everyone else and not focusing on what God wants from me. I overcame by not looking at the next person and focusing on God alone. He is the only one that will bring my helpers and put me in places with people I could only dream of by making it a reality.”
Where do you see yourself in five years?
“I see myself as a BIG brand, sharing my story and encouraging young black women to be still, you will make it. Continue to stand on God’s promise for your life. He is the only one that will see you through.”
What advice would you give someone who has an interest in this industry?
“The same thing I tell myself daily is to: stop looking at people and look at Jesus. Ask God to fulfill His purpose for you wanting to be in the beauty industry and to let your dream die so his can shine through you!”

According To The Trend: Paris Fashion Week
What walks the runway from the end of September to October will set the trends for the upcoming season.
For one week every year, the world lies in wait for the debut of the Spring/Summer collections shown during Paris Fashion Week. What walks the runway from the end of September to October will set the trends for the upcoming season. Everything from Haute Couture to Ready to Wear designers all over the world give us a front row seat to their creations.
This year at PFW the color pallet took on a wide variety of different hues and pastels ranging over sixteen signatures colors. Runways were flushed with Vanilla, Crème, and Sugar Almond giving a smooth and effortless vintage feel to some of our favorite silhouettes. The top color trends for Spring were Fruit Dove Pink represented by Valentino, Eden Green shown by Givenchy, and Galaxy Blue from Elie Saab.
“This is a man’s world” took on a whole new meaning this season. The latest trend in women's fashion took a page out of mens fashion by way of tailored suiting and dinner jackets. Double breasted jackets and over sized sequin tuxedo coats were featured in collections shown by designers Chloe and Saint Laurent. Ralph Russo showed a crème tailored pantsuit with embellished cutouts on the runway. Look out men of the world women are wearing the dress trousers now.

In The Industry: Loewe
Loewe is a luxury brand based in Madrid and owned by the LVMH group known for holding numerous luxury companies such as Chanel, Christian Dior and Givenchy.
Brand name: Loewe
Creative Director: Johnathan Anderson
Start year: 1846
About Loewe
Loewe is a luxury brand based in Madrid and owned by the LVMH group known for holding
numerous luxury companies such as Chanel, Christian Dior and Givenchy. The brand was
founded in 1846 by Enrique Loewe Hinton, who was granted as a fashion merchandise supplier
in the royal court by King Alfonso XIII of Spain. His wife Queen Victoria Eugenie was also a
frequent visitor of the store. The company deals with mostly leather products consisting of their
main produced item the Loewe signature bag for men and women. The company also sells many
other products such as ready-to-wear clothing, accessories, along with home and lifestyle
products for their average consumer. The brand has evolved into a huge best seller in the fashion
industry after many successful sales and shows, located with stores worldwide.
Fast forwarding to the present, the creative director of Loewe is Jonathan Anderson, who was
appointed in 2013. He debuted the brands ready-to-wear collection as the new director in 2014.
Anderson’s first issue of business was to remodel the stores and design clothing based from their
50s, 60s, and 70s style. With the new rebranding, a new logo was made as well along with the
new bag designs such as the “puzzle” bag.
Review: SS20 RTW
As we approach the fall season it’s time to put away the tank tops and sandals and bring out the
turtle necks and sweaters from our closets. In this collection, Anderson was focused on creating
modern and a very minimal aesthetic in this collection. Focusing more on silhouettes and the
shape of the garment rather than putting placement on the details. We can see that he drew
inspiration from the 18th and 19th century as the silhouette with jackets and long sleeve sweaters
create a hour glass shape to compliment the figure. In those eras the color palette consisted of
soft neutrals such as light browns, white, emerald green and gray; that was portrayed in this
wardrobe as well. The fabrics used were also very soft with clean and sharp cuts such as ruffles
along the hemline of the sleeves, leather along the collar and faux fur for scarves. Anderson
created a romantic and daring theme that has us all ready to wear this collection for fall.
Rating: Loewe SS20 RTW
This collection was definitely a 10/10. Drawing inspiration from styles that were produced years
ago and creating that image in a modern fashion in brilliant. Fashion is always evolving but
trends that were once popular in the past always come back. This 19th century way of dressing
was beautifully done in a way that showed a chic and high fashion style.

On Tuesday, February 27th I had the pleasure of attending a wonderful event at the African American Museum in Philadelphia hosted by Philadelphia Media Network. Fashioning Philly was a panel discussion that brought an enlightening conversation on Philadelphia’s influence of art, fashion, music, & beauty. Panelist include Syreeta Scott a nationally renowned hair stylist and entrepreneur, who has worked for the likes of Ava Duvernay, Janet Jackson and Jill Scott, Kemar Jewel a choreographer, director and performance artist, Shawn Theodore a visual artist whose work encompasses both photography and street art and Jamaaladeen Tacuma a critically acclaimed bassist and producer. The discussion was driven by moderator Cassie Owens who did a wonderful job of asking the right questions about Philadelphia unique style and approach to graffiti, beauty trends and fashion. It was fun to hear the panelist personal stories on how Philadelphia personally impact their career while also acknowledging that our city is on the rise in the art and fashion industry. I learn many new things about the city of brotherly love from fashion trends that was created in our very own city to the real story of the birth of graffiti thanks to a man named Cornbread. Throughout the discussion gems were left for the audience to pick up and research and learn how influential our city really is to the rest of the world even if we are not given the proper credit. Even learning about the dynamic music scene and how so many singers, songwriters and composers were born and raised here gave everyone a spark to their own creative goals.
To hear the perspectives of such accomplished artists inspired me to make my own personal journey into the art world in Philadelphia and to know that one doesn’t always have to move to California or New York to be successful. We all know that Philadelphia has definitely place an imprint onto pop culture even today with the success of fashion brands such as These Pink Lips and Jeantrix and many musical acts making their come up such as Tierra Whack, this only gives hope that Philadelphia will one day be the top city for music, fashion and art.
Philadelphia Fashion Week Recap

The week started with the Style Gala which served as the first official fashion show and a shopping experience for guest featuring past and present Philadelphia Fashion Incubator residents.

I was very impressed with all of the amazing emerging designers coming from Philadelphia and the Made Institute. Some of my favorite designers were Gregory Robinson, Brooke Pagano, Alexandra Damiano and Tyler Fitzpatrick. It was very inspiring to see the creativity that comes from Philadelphia and the variety of designers that we produced in the city of brotherly love.

This past weekend on Saturday, September 9th I had the pleasure of attending the second annual “Time to Pretend” art showcase which was an all female art show that exhibited a variety of artists from fashion to performances of all kinds.
The art show was located in South Philadelphia’s Philly Pack and was a spectacle of dancing, drinking and talented artists showcased on each wall of the room. There were many artists that were highlighted that night but some of my favorites were PhobyMo, who was the host of the event, Heidi Cannon, Allegra Gia, Freshie Juice, Madison Nuemann and Idaslis Yvette. It was such an inspiration to see so many artists, especially female artists unite under one roof to showcase their art and to be celebrated. I was able to speak with some of the artists about their work and was really intrigued to hear all of the amazing things that inspired them and even hear their art process.
That night really put into perspective the lack of credit female artists in any genre gets in the creative industries. So, when I see events championing the minority in any field I am always excited to see people unite and let them know they are an inspiration to many. Hopefully, with art shows such as Time to Pretend, we can continue to lift up woman in the creative fields and give them the applause they greatly deserve. Be sure to take a look at all of the wonderful talent that was showcased that night by these pictures below:

All of Mary Katranzou's self named collections revolve around the filtered beauty within luxury things
MARY KATRANTZOU
Brand name: Mary Katrantzou
Creative Director & Designer: Mary Katrantzou
Start year: 2009
Personal 411 on Mary Katrantzou:
Mary Kantrantzou's self named clothing line debuted her first ready-to-wear collection at London Fashion Week in Spring/Summer of 2009. All of Mary's self named collections revolve around the filtered beauty within luxury things; a piece from the art of a design that an everyday woman would not be able to wear if it were real. Mary uses prints of textiles designs as the main focus in all of her collections which her previous season collections displayed textiles designs such as perfume bottles, artisan blown glasses, interiors and object of art, vintage postage stamps just to name a few. Each print Mary creatives is designed around the garment and also the garment around the print. With print textiles being so visual, prints has allowed Mary to create her own world but in the visual language that she displays throughout her collections. Mary's goal into every seasonal collection she puts out is to create something new and something people will appreciate for its intelligent design aesthetic.
Personal 411 review on Mary Katrantzou SS17 collection:
Mary's influences for this collection were in between the triply graphics of the late 60's and early 70's music posters and her Greek roots with Greek vases and plates. Mary wanted to combine "swirly prog-rock patterns with symbols of the ancient Greek world in flared trousers and stretch t-shirts" with also layering which has been a signature of Mary's collection pieces. Mary managed to use completely different range influences and mash them together to make a beautiful textiles art out of this season's garments; allowing herself to explore her creative and take risks. This collection embodies originality and are great statement pieces for women worldwide.
Rate of Mary Katrantzou SS17 collection: 10/10

Celebrity Stylist: Dress To Kill
They say "dressing well is a form of good manners", these ladies have perfect etiquette.
Chiara Capitani
She’s described by The Coveteur of the queen of the “new wave of fashion girls who effortlessly mix skate labels into their wardrobe.” Her closet goes from streetwear brands such as Thrasher, Supreme, and Anti Social Social Club to Loewe and Louis Vuitton. But thats not all, she can on anyway be seen wearing either some of the rarest sneakers, or show stopper heels. She does not call herself a “stylist,” she is an image consultant that has works with brands all across the board and credits her biggest success as working with Vogue Man but her dream would be to work for Prada Sport. Read More
Anna Katsanis
Anna Katsanis is a Greek born and United States raised, New York based stylist who's work can be found throughout different editorials and fashion advertising. Her love for fashion came from film and fashion designs, some of which you can see reminiscent in her work. She has worked with Harpers Bazaar, Interview Magazine, Neimans and Refinery 29 alike and is the face behind the incredible style of Laverne Cox.
Newheart Ohanian
Newheart Ohanian began her career in styling after working for several years in the fashion industry, deciding to shift her focus and try out freelance fashion styling. She attributes much of her knowledge and experience to studying apparel and textile design in Florence and Milan. Her love of storytelling through visual imagery makes her invaluable to her clients and made her the perfect women to handle the job of styling for Beyonce’s critically acclaimed Lemonade project.
Ade Samuel
Ade started her work in the fashion industry as an intern at Teen Vogue, which because of her hard work eventually allowed her a job as a fashion assistant. With these jobs, she was allowed a platform to meet some of the most influential stylists in the industry and she would volunteer to do little jobs like work on photoshoots. She now works for the likes of Nicole Richie, Christina Aguilera and Miley Cyrus and Big Sean. But her work does not stop there, shes also introduced her own shoe line, Ade Samuel Shoes, a dream shes had for a long time. At 27, shes new in the game, but working harder than many.
Charlie Brianna
Charlie Brianna’s bio describes her as having “timeless style driven by an unparalleled imagination.” At the young age of 22, she has already worked on many editorials, red carpets, video shoots and personal shopping. Her work includes work with celebrities such as P. Diddy, Chris Hemsworth, Nicki Minaj and Brandy Norwood.
Mel Ottenberg
Mel Ottenberg is described in Vanity Fair as being a “styling veteran,” because of working with stars such as Brittany Spears and Pamela Anderson. But his most recognized work is done with pop superstar Rihanna. He does all of her red-carpet ensembles and tour costumes. He says he fell into styling by accident and then after doing great his first time, started writing letters to photographers such as David LaChapelle requesting to work with him.
Nini Nguyen
Nini Nguyen is a fashion stylist with a love of fashionable and chic individuality. This is exuded throughout all her works in which she shows how clothes SHOULD lay and be used to enhance a women s body. She started off at Banana Republic and Neiman Marcus and eventually advanced to Oscar de La Renta and Barneys New York. Her styling Philosophy is that “anyone can look like a million without spending a million and believes in buying less but investing in quality pieces that will last forever.”

In The Industry: Sacai
Sacai is known for using contrasting textures and patterns in their collections also including unexpected shapes and silhouettes.
Sacai
(Sah-key)
Brand name:Sacai
Creative Director and Designer: Chitose Abe
Start year: 1999
Personal 411 on Sacai:
Chitose started her clothing line Sacai after 8 years of working with the Junya Watanabe collection at Comme des Garçons and opened their first flagship store in September 2011 in Minamiaoyama, Tokyo. Even though her garments are geared towards female, Chistose's main interest is creating collection of clothes that are "unique and timeless, innovative and experimental". Sacai is known for using a lot of contrasting textures and patterns in their collections also including unexpected shapes and silhouettes. Chitose is constantly influenced by her surrounding and the day-to-day life which gives her a lot of inspiration with her line Sacai; giving it a type of elegance that is based on classical items. Chitose's idea for her line is to make it easy to transfer each garment between different occasions in a female's day-to-day life and not only for special opportunities.
Personal review on Sacai SS17 collection:
Chitose’s influences for this collection were the likes of the iconic entertainers Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain and Pablo Picasso just to name a few, wanting “to take things from their style and put it all together, as one”. And I feel like she did just that; filling this season’s collection with beautiful bold patterns and colorful sheer materials leaving each garment to stand on its own just like the talent of each artist she draw inspiration from. The collection as a whole is a piece of art that can be worn as show stoppers pieces to any event or daily basis.

TOP 5 “MUST-HAVES” WHEN EXPLORING LONDON
"If you are planning a trip to England or about to study abroad in London, the following must-have items may come in handy!" - Aliza M.
Everyone travels and explores a new location in their own way, but practical advice from someone that has “been there and done that” is always worth considering. If you are planning a trip to England or about to study abroad in London, the following must-have items may come in handy!
A Good Rain Jacket
Depending on where you’re from, you may not be used to constant rain. Well, in London there is always a chance of rain! Carrying around an umbrella can be bulky and annoying, so I recommend a rain jacket as your best bet. I studied abroad in London during early summer, and a rain jacket was totally necessary.
Believe me, you won’t regret the convenience of a rain jacket when you are caught in a sudden rain shower as you are out and about exploring this amazing city. Find a rain jacket in a style that you like that can be carried or easily stashed away when you don’t need it. I found one that I was able to put in my backpack or purse when I didn’t need it, and trust me, it was the best thing ever to have that on hand to pull out in a sudden downpour.
An Oyster Card
This probably sounds super weird to someone that hasn’t visited London, but an Oyster card is a pass to ride the tube (what they call the subway in London). You may be given one by AIFS depending on your program — if not, absolutely buy one.
The tube is the main form of transportation in London and is very convenient. The class I took included many museum visits, and the easiest way to travel to and from museums was by way of the tube.
Also, all the fun tourist destinations you’ll want to see are only a tube stop away. On the weekends, we would take the Piccadilly Line down to Covent Garden to shop and eat. You could also hop on another line and go to Camden, which is a great place to grab a bite and hang out.
Pocket Change
Make sure to keep your change. Bathrooms in London are not always free (usually under 1 euro), so keep your spare change in case you need to run to the restroom. Also, never pass up a free restroom. It may seem like a strange suggestion now, but when you’re up and on the go, you never know when you’ll run into a bathroom next.
Also, they don’t use dollar bills in England. The one-pound currency is a coin, so you can expect to carry around a lot of change. I strongly advise carrying a wallet or purse for pocket change, so you’ll always have coins when you need them.
A Good Camera
London is a beautiful city, and you never know when you might want to snap a shot. I’m sure most people have smartphones so this is not a huge issue, but if you have a digital camera, I would advise you bring it.
I personally brought along a Polaroid camera, and the shots came out amazing. Pictures are a great way to share what you’re doing with family and friends back home, and you’ll love looking back at photos from your time abroad to reminisce in the future.
Plenty of Patience
While this is obviously an English speaking country, there are many differences between the way English people and Americans speak and communicate with each other. Although you may have been speaking English all of your life, it might not be as easy as you’re expecting to make yourself understood as an American in London.
You shouldn’t hesitate to get out and speak to Londoners to learn about the city and make new friends, but remember to be patient when you encounter travel frustrations. If you stay relaxed and friendly, you’ll find it easier to make the most out of your visit!

We all remember that little girl, Zendaya from Disney Channels' hit shows, but she's not so little anymore! This twenty-year-old women is doing big things for women [and men] on a small budget. Being inspired by her older sister and nieces, she created Daya by Zendaya in the Spring of 2016. "The kind of women we're targeting are real women who want a good shoe they can wear to their job interviews, but still be stylish and not break the bank," says the red carpet killer.
Partnering up with her stylist, Law Roach the duo not only have an affordable shoe line but they are bringing us a classy look clothing line. Zendaya debuting some of her pieces as she guest starred as a judge on Project Runway; posting a picture on IG of her in a velvet suit with a lace body suit with the caption "I gotta admit.....wearing my own stuff feels really good. We've done well @luxurylaw. #DayabyZendaya #clothinglinecomingsoon".
I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to her pieces she has dropping soon and more exciting shoes to come. Go Daya!!

HOW TO SEE PARIS IN 48 HOURS OR LESS
"With just two days in Paris, I was determined to knock out all the best sites. Here’s how to conquer Paris in 48 hours." - Aliza M.
During my study abroad experience, we were constantly moving around and would only stay in each city in a few days. With just two days in Paris, I was determined to knock out all the best sites. Here’s how to conquer Paris in 48 hours.
Day One: Notre Dame, Versailles, and the Eiffel Tower
In the morning we headed to Notre Dame. This building is absolutely stunning, and the best part? Free entry. The line may look daunting but it moves quickly and is totally worth the wait. Plus, a great way to make time go quicker while you’re in line is to grab a crepe to eat while you wait. For you “Hunchback of Notre Dame” fans, you can finally fulfill your childhood dream of seeing where Quasimodo lives! After basking in the glory of Notre Dame, we hit up one of the many cafés around the church and grabbed a quick lunch (I suggest a croque-monsieur).
After lunch, we headed to the RER, the above-ground train, to head to Versailles. The train costs about seven euros for the round trip and the ride is about 20 minutes. There are very detailed maps in the station so you know which train to get on and Versailles is the last stop. If you want to tour the palace at Versailles, plan on spending another 15 euros. But, the garden at Versailles is free entry. I paid to tour the palace and it was absolutely breathtaking, but if you are trying to save money, there is plenty to do in just the gardens. We spent the rest of our afternoon touring around Versailles until it closes around 6:00 PM.
We then headed back into the heart of Paris for our last stop of the day, the iconic Eiffel Tower. In front of the Eiffel tower is a large field where you can sit, eat, drink and watch the tower light up at night. We stopped at a grocery store, grabbed some food and set up camp to watch the show. Starting at ten o’clock, the tower sparkles for five minutes and it looks gorgeous. It repeats this every hour until midnight.
Day Two: The Louvre and The Arc de Triomphe
The next morning we headed to The Louvre, the world’s largest museum. The cost of the visit was included in our program costs, but tickets are typically around 15 euros. This museum is huge and you can spend hours upon hours there. The most famous painting in this museum though is easily The Mona Lisa. You have to wait a few minutes to get to the front but it’s totally worth it.
The last big Paris icon is the Arc de Triumph. Due to time restrictions we could not make it to see this landmark, but if you have time left after The Louvre, it is just a short metro ride away. It is located in the center of the Place Charles de Gaulle and is at the end of the Champs-Elyees. The Arc honors those who have fought and died in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. Under the arc is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier from World War I.
There is obviously so much else to see in Paris, but when you only have 48 hours you have to make the best of it! If you have more time, you can check out the many other museums, cafés and shopping areas, but if you only have a short period of time, I suggest these five places. This guide should hopefully be helpful if you are studying abroad in another city and just want to head over to Paris for the weekend. Happy travels!
