Philadelphia Fashion Week Recap

Monday, September 18th was the start of the Philadelphia Fashion Week where I was invited as press to cover the week long events. The week started with the Style Gala which served as the first official fashion show and a shopping experience for guest featuring past and present Philadelphia Fashion Incubator residents. Some of the designers that was showcased was Conrad Booker who specialize in handbags, Milano de Rogue, Penrose Designs and Natasha Hill for Lillie Couture.

On Wednesday, September 20th I attended the Made Institute Fashion Show and Launch Party which was the official opening of the independent fashion school Made Institute. I was very impressed with all of the amazing emerging designers coming from Philadelphia and the Made Institute. Some of my favorite designers were Gregory Robinson, Brooke Pagano, Alexandra Damiano and Tyler Fitzpatrick. It was very inspiring to see the creativity that comes from Philadelphia and the variety of designers that we produced in the city of brotherly love.

Lastly, I attended the main runway shows that featured ready to wear and couture collections from designers all over. Some of my favorite designers that was showcased was Thiim, Ke Collection, Nasheli Juliana, These Pink Lips, Lillie Designs, Christabol Men and Woman and Shahedah Textile. The runway shows featured a mixture of off the wall fashions, glamorous couture gowns and sexy, sleek styles. I must say it was my favorite season from Philadelphia Fashion Week. I was very happy and excited to experience such amazing work from designers all over especially in Philadelphia. I'm excited for what is to come in the next season of Philadelphia Fashion Week.
